Here are the first bottles carved and finished.
I am trying not to repeat any of the carvings on any of the bottles that are carved. Except, of course, the snakes in the first picture.
These new bottles I made yesterday and altered today.
I have the BIGGEST
urge to carve them but don't know if that would be too much. Somehow I think these may need just a solid glazing.

WoW - these are all incredible. I LOVE them!! The bottles with the wrapped bodies are so amazing.
Wow these are amazing! You know I love your carving, but I agree, I don't think these altered bottles need it. I'm thinking a metalic looking glaze would look good. Or something that looks like leather. Just my thoughts. :)
These truly are incredible (and I just LOVE your owls!!!! of course that one is my favourite).
Personally, I would do some carving on the new ones too...just to see what they were like. I just love pattern (and the more the better for me...thus my love of Klimt and Kaffe Fassett I suppose). Maybe try some with a little carving and some without. Must be fun making these decisions.
WOW!!!!!! Your bottles are fabulous!
beautiful design work!!!
You have been intensely working and accomplishing so much.. Every one of them is a treasure onto itself...
I been working all day but after seeing this, Boy do I feel like I never accomplished anything...
Thanks for spurring me on!!
I vote for a solid glaze on the 'new' 'overlap' bottles! Maybe some in matte and some in glossy?
Thanks so much Bindu!
I am having fun making them.
Ahhhh, a leather looking glaze may really be nice. Thanks for the suggestion UN D.
Hey Jacky,
It is fun pondering the finished product and how the little things make such a difference. Thanks for the vote for the carving. I think I am going to carve some of these, some little spots of carving in certain places.
Hey Gwen, I'll bet you have accomplished so much! I am alaways amazed at your works especially the drawings of late!
Hey
svelte,
Thanks for the advice. I am going to try some glaze tests and post them for a vote.
These are beautiful bottles. I love your carving and your layers and look forward to seeing how you glaze them! Roxanne
Thanks Roxanne!
I can't wait to see how they come out.
It is always like Christmas when I finally see the end result. It is so much fun.
Such a variety! They are all lovely. I like the sound of small areas of carving on some of the wrapped bottles but they are also great just as they are.
whoa, i love the wrapped bottles, leanne! i mean i love them *all*, but the wrapped ones really call to me. i think they're perfect just the way they are...
Thanks Lynne and Robyn!
Can't wait to fire them and see what happens with some of the glazes I have made....
I like those appendages - suggesting that they are about to set off.
