Ophelia #2

After the spring season I decided to rededicate myself to painting every week. Well, I think I went a little overboard. I haven't touched clay in almost 3 weeks....is that possible?
At first I missed it terribly. But it seems now I am obsessed with Ophelia and her blue tragic glances.
Planning to get back to clay tomorrow. Orders are amassing as the days go along and I am getting way behind.....
It will be good to get my hands in clay again.

I'm sure the break from clay has done you more good than harm.....and I'm enjoying Ophelia. I like the bird incorporated into this one.

Wow, 3 weeks?! That must feel so strange for you!

This is another beautiful painting Leanne, but I can't wait to see what you do with clay!

I am loving your obsession with Ophelia and painting...these are wonderful. Like Robyn I like the bird you have used in this one too.

I'm sure the clay will pull you back very soon.

She has possessed you, hasnt she?

YOu have had to paint her and paint her inorder for her to speak... a wonderful process to watch.

I saw one of this series in your profile picture, and immediately came to your blog. I love the colors! I'm glad you took a break from clay, because otherwise you wouldn't have made these!

Hey Robyn,
I think the break really did help my brain reach out to new creativity. Lord knows we always need that to happen!:)

Un D, Whew! 3 weeks was a long time. My fingers were itching to get back to the dirt.

Thanks Jacky! Painting these had been a joy and an immersion. I plan to dedicate Sunday every week to working more on 2 dimensions.

Thanks Ms. Mimi!!!

Hey Lynne! Thank you....the time off was really good. I have to do it more often.

Hey Grrl!
She has possessed me completely! I can't get my imagining mind to think of anyone else.
New one on the way....

Thanks Bindu! So Much!

Poor Ophelia! Torn between two worlds. Is she coming from her watery world or going. One must stay tuned to your work to find out.
