Quilting Convention
So I went to the quilting convention in Nashville this past week with my mother in law and we had a blast!
It was crazy how many wonderful quilts were there and how creative they were. And the fabric and the threads! WOW!
Here is a picture of the most fantabulous quilt I've ever seen and it even won a first place ribbon in it's catagory though I can't remember the person who made it.

finished?
Working on this picture may be coming to an end. I've been struggling with the words and they may disappear as i keep pushing on it.
I have set it aside for the day and am going back to an old painting that i have hated but at the same time have been fascinated and seduced by. It is of a flying girl reaching for her sister. The sister is in a crazy dress that I would actually like to have to wear.
I'll upload a picture as soon as it looks a little better than it does now.

The Puzzle
Tuesday's work
Just got back from a slow and painful shift at the restaurant. The air conditioning is on the fritz and the restaurant was really hot and sticky as hell. I was so glad to walk out that door even if it is 95 degrees outside. Well, off to the studio with me for the rest of the day and as long as I can stay awake tonight. Many pots to carve and a terribly frustrating painting to try and figure out. It is a puzzle with no answer.

Mourning morning
Today I am mourning the morning because I have to think about going back to work tonight at the restaurant. I feel like I'm going to come apart at the seams . Waiting tables is one of the hardest jobs and one of the most thankless. I am in utter dread of going.
