Well, this month I am approaching another birthday. Never have I been one to deny my age or wrinkles for that matter but this time ....... I have to admit I am dreading another year older. Hate to say it but I think with this birthday the blog and I need a makeover. A growin up so to speak. So I am here by relinquishing the name of Painter Girl and am changing to Leanne. I had the name painter girl for awhile now. And though it is fun and flippy, I think this year it is time to grow up. I thought about adopting another name but Leanne fits the way I feel right now. Paired down and simple.
So hear is to another year! Happy year older to me and to everyone...

Happy, Happy Birthday to you Leanne!!! Your little critters around the birthday cake are charming!
If it's change you want then I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with on "artandlife".

Hahaha! I love that bunny with the big cheesy grin! And those little birdies are adorable! Is the cake made of clay too?

I didn't think age would ever bother me, but I remember feeling really old when I turned 27! I've never had a birthday effect me like that since. What a strange age to feel it though eh? Scott is dreading being 40. But what's a number? You're only a day older than the day before!

I love the new look of the blog by the way :) It's... young and fresh! Just like you Leanne :D - don't grow up, it's boring!

Thanks so much Cynjon!

Hey Robyn,
Always looking for a change.....stretching out to a new thought or place. We'll have to see what changes are a comin in this next couple of months. I feel the wind stirring.

Hey Un D!
Glad you like the new colors! I thought them nice and springy.
I promise not to grow up too much....just a little bit. I am leaving the Girl Crown to Miss Queeny.:)

Happy Birthday!

Sure, you're a year older, and a year wiser....but how old are you??? You didn't say!

I got a little freaked out when I got Bride of Frankinstein grey streaks all of a sudden....

Change is good.

Hey Eero!
Love the idea of grey steaks. Wish I had would be worth another year if I could get permanent streaks without dye.
Oh! By the way I am going to be 39.

Thanks Queeny! I had so much fun this weekend. Wish you could be there for my birthday too. Send pictures this way for your old aunt. I didn't take any because your mom was being paparrazzi woman with her new camera.

Hey Deborah,
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Love your new blog.
Can't wait to look up the movie suggestion...

Hey Grrl!
Nope still feel 20 inside but the wrinkles are reminding me daily that I'm hiss!

Hey Jafa!
Thanks for that! I hope I always shine with a love for life. I really do love it so!

Hey GDP! Thanks for the write up. Can't wait to see it when it comes out. Been spending time looking at all the posts on the blog and they are really beautifully done. Good Job!

...okay. we'll let you 'grow-up' if you so desire, but DON'T ever grow old!! Those bunnies are so 'FUN' - they definitely didn't com from an 'old soul'! Just because 'Pre-Doc Will' is getting all growed up and serious, doesn't mean you need to, or should!!

So, what I'm trying to say is 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY'!

Hey Sweet Sis!

HAPPY (soon to be) BIRTHDAY!!!

Love the bunnies around the cake--so cute and the crocheted (sp?) birdies! Queeny will love them!

As you know, last year I felt the blow of another year like a hurricane! Rest assured, you'll ease into your new age. And, I know you'll do it well!

Much love to you!!

Thanks everyone for your sweet birthday wishes. They are really cheering me up as the birthday looms only 3 days away.

Thanks Queeny! I don't feel old but I do have wrinkles:)

Love the big blue pottery hug Jacky.

Aren't those kooky rabbits sweet for making me a pink cake Gwen.

Sister T,
Thanks for the pep talk. I will feel okay about 39, I will feel okay about 39......saying the mantra.....I'm not sucking it in! Are you sucking it in?
Love you sis!

Thanks Bindu and ArtSparker!

Don't worry Svelte. I am so far from really growing up that even if I reach 100 I'll never be truly growed!
